The Ghana National Education Campaign Coalition (GNECC) on 17th September 2025 convened a high-level stakeholder engagement at the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) to address the growing crisis of indiscipline and violence in schools across the country.

The meeting brought together representatives from the Ghana Education Service (GES), Ministry of Education (MoE), security agencies, the Conference of Heads of Schools, teachers, students, and the Guidance and Counseling Unit of GES.

Stakeholders identified urgent measures to restore discipline, strengthen school security, and expand counseling and mental health support for students. The discussions underscored the collective responsibility of government, parents, educators, and communities in ensuring safe and supportive learning environments.
