Meet The Team
The secretariat of the Ghana National Education Campaign Coalition (GNECC) serves as the administrative hub and coordinating body for the coalition’s activities.
It is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations, implementing programs and initiatives, liaising with member organizations, and representing GNECC in various forums and engagements related to education advocacy in Ghana.
The secretariat plays a crucial role in ensuring that GNECC’s mission of influencing policies, practices, and attitudes towards quality basic education for all is effectively carried out.
Bernice Mpere- Gyekye holds a Master’s Degree in Education Leadership and Innovation and a Bachelor’s degree in Population and Family Life Education.
She has over twelve years’ experience in Development work and has worked with several Development Agencies. She has experience in using approaches such as Participatory Learning approaches, social mobilization, social engagement & Advocacy, Social and Behaviour Change Communication, among others in education and health related programmes and other social interventions.
She was a Gender Focal person for the organization she worked with for Ten years and also the Safeguarding Officer. She has a very good approach in handling all forms HIV/AIDS related programing targeting all Key Population group.
She is able to mentor young people into financial literacy and entrepreneurship where she trained about 300 females into financial literacy and entrepreneurship in various carrier fields. She is a strong leader with unique managerial skills to achieve results.
Festus Buetey Longmatey, a project management expert, is the Head of Programs at the Ghana National Education Campaign Coalition. He has served in various capacities in the Civil Society space.
He has also worked as a child rights activist since 2003, formed and built the capacities of over 300 Community Child Protection Committees and over 500 Child Rights Clubs across Ghana.
Mr. Longmatey is a member of the Management Committee of Forest Watch Ghana, served as the Board Chairman for Inclusion Ghana on two conservative terms and currently serving on various committees including the National Steering Committee for the implementation of Inclusive Education and the School Health Education Program in Ghana.
He is also on the National Child Protection Committee under the Ministry of Gender and Social Protection.
Rexford Abossey is the Finance and Administrative Manager at GNECC He holds the following certificates, Bachelor of business Administration, Ghana, Bachelor of Laws (LLB), Institute of Chartered Accountants, Association of Chartered Certified Accountants professional level (UK) and a MSc. International Accounting and Finance (UK)

As Finance Manager, Rexford has worked on several projects such as UNESCO, ACTIONAID, CAMFED, OSIWA, OXFAM GB, OXFAM IBIS. At GNECC he is responsible for producing financial reports related to budgets, developing long-term business plans based on these reports reviewing, monitoring, and managing budgets and developing strategies that work to minimize financial risk.
John Fianu is the new Finance Manager of Ghana National Education Campaign Coalition – GNECC on the SAGES (Strengthening Accountability for Ghana’s Education Systems) project.
John has over five years of work experience in various capacities such as customer service, business consulting, accounts management, credit management and audit with advanced accounting and donor project reporting abilities to effect employer growth and success.
John is a graduate of the University of Cape Coast where he holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree and an MBA in Accounting and Finance from the University of Professional Studies, Accra. He is currently a Student Member at the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana (I.C.A.G).
Kezia Iris Dedoo is the Senior Technical Advisor for GNECC on the SAGES project (USAID funded). As a Senior Technical Advisor, Kezia is responsible for the technical leadership of the program to ensure quality, timeliness, and efficiency in the development and implementation of the project to obtain relevant outcomes. Before GNECC-SAGES, Kezia spent 6 years with the USAID Partnership for Education: Learning Project.

Kezia also has a passion for learning with a Bachelors Degree in Basic Education and MED in Guidance and Counseling. Kezia has over 14 years of teaching experience with the Ghana Education Service and believes that no child should be denied access to quality education irrespective of their socioeconomic background, experiences, and abilities.

Kezia Iris Dedoo comes on board to support advocacy for quality, equitable, accessible, and adequate basic education for every Ghanaian child of school-going age.
Fredibelle Nii Ofei Dodoo is a Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Expert with 10 years of experience in Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning, Data management, Project design, Logical Framework development, Community development, Facilitation, and training.
Having been part of the successful implementation of different social interventions funded by local and international organizations including GLOBAL FUND, PEPFAR/USAID, FHI 360/LINKAGES, PEPFAR/USAID/Care continuum/JSI
Fredibelle brings vast experiences to support GNECC in achieving its ultimate goal of advocating for Quality Pre-tertiary Education for All.
Gideon Kofi Sodaya is the Finance and Administrative Officer at GNECC. He prepares and manages the organization's budgets, financial forecasts, and expenditure reports. He also monitors income and expenses, ensuring accurate recording and compliance with financial regulations whiles overseeing the day-to-day administrative tasks, including office management, procurement of supplies, and facilities maintenance.
Gideon is proficient in financial software like accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Excel for data analysis.

He holds a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration and currently a Level 2 student at the Institute of Chartered Accountant Ghana.
Eric Curtis Howard is the Communication Specialist at the Ghana National Education Campaign Coalition (GNECC). As a Communication Specialist, Curtis is responsible for implementing the organization’s communication plans, managing media relations, and the branding and visibility of GNECC.
Before joining GNECC, Curtis spent over ten years in the media where he worked as a Journalist, Producer, and News Editor with notable TV stations including GHOneTV, JoyNews, and TV3
Curtis is a graduate of the Ghana Institute of Journalism and the University of Ghana and a strong advocate for quality education at both the basic and tertiary levels.
Lawrencia Owusu is a personal assistant to the National Coordinator (GNECC) and a programs support staff of the Ghana National Education Campaign Coalition.
Lawrencia has over 3 years experience as a virtual and personal assistant and more than 2 years experience as a research assistant. She is about making people lives easier by assisting.

Lawrencia is a graduate of the University of Ghana where she holds a Bachelor's degree in biological science. She's also a graduate of the #ALX virtual assistance program.
Eunice Asante is the Front Desk Executive at GNECC.
As the first point of contact for visitors, callers, and stakeholders, Eunice takes great pride in upholding the organization's values of environmental preservation and effective communication. Whether it is greeting visitors or handling phone inquiries, Eunice's unique ability to articulating information ensures that everyone's needs are met.
