The Executive Council
The Executive Council is the highest decision making body of GNECC. It comprises the Chairman, the Vice Chairman, the National Treasure, all the Regional Chairpersons and the Secretary who is as the National Coordinator of GNECC.
Mr Joseph Atsu Homadzi is Chairman of GNECC. He is a professional trained teacher who had his training at Akropong Presbyterian Training College. He also has a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Cape Town, South Africa and a Master’s degree in educational administration, planning and social policy also at University of Cape Town.
He is a retired assistant Head teacher of the Akropong School for the blind with over thirty years teaching experience.
He has been serving on very high profile Boards such as Ministerial Advisory Board member of the Ministry of Education (2020 till date), A member of the National Steering Committee for the Implementation of Inclusive Education in Ghana (2016 till date), A member of Advocacy Committee of Ghana Federation of Disability Organizations (GFD), A member of the advisory committee of Ghana Somubee from 2019 till date and National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (July 2017 -December 2020).
