GNECC Hosts Education Out Loud Regional Management Unit Delegation

The Ghana National Education Campaign Coalition (GNECC) was honored to host Ms. Brigette Potison and Natacha Umutoni Niyo from the Regional Management Unit (RMU) for West and Central Africa under Education Out Loud (EOL), alongside Ms. Natacha, during their grantee support and monitoring visit to Ghana.

During the visit, Brigette and Natacha engaged with GNECC's Board, Management, Members, and staff in a series of productive discussions focused on the coalition's work and progress. The meetings covered key thematic areas including project implementation, governance, learning and knowledge management, policy engagement, communication, advocacy, finance, and the evolving educational context within Ghana.

As part of the visit, Natacha also met with the coalition's Communications Specialist and documented success stories highlighting the impact of GNECC's interventions and advocacy efforts across the country.

The engagements provided an opportunity for open dialogue and reflection on project achievements, lessons learned, challenges, and future priorities. Particular attention was given to GNECC's advocacy and policy engagement efforts aimed at promoting equitable and quality education for all children in Ghana.

A key highlight of the discussions was GNECC's work with citizen networks, which continues to strengthen community participation in education governance and service delivery. Through these initiatives, the coalition has built strong partnerships with the Ministry and its agencies and local communities, enabling citizens to effectively engage government actors at both national and sub-national levels to advance inclusive and quality education.

Brigette and Natacha commended GNECC for its significant progress in amplifying citizen voices, strengthening education accountability, and creating greater opportunities for marginalized and vulnerable populations to participate in decision-making processes that affect their education.

GNECC is grateful for the visit and the continued support provided through Education Out Loud (EOL) and the Global Partnership for Education (GPE).
