The Ghana National Education Campaign Coalition (GNECC) launched the 2025 Global Action Week for Education in Bodada, Oti Region, under the theme
“Education in Emergencies: Leave No Learner Behind.”

The campaign highlighted the risks crises such as conflict, displacement, and climate disasters pose to education and called for stronger systems to ensure learning continuity. Stakeholders, including the Municipal Chief Executive, Education Directors, and civil society actors, joined to reaffirm their commitment to inclusive and resilient education. Students raised concerns about inadequate ICT tools, infrastructure, and learning materials, underscoring urgent needs in rural and slum schools.

GNECC urged government, civil society, and parents to strengthen basic education and
prioritize emergency preparedness. The celebration reinforced that no learner should be left behind, even in times of crisis.
