On January 24, 2025, the Ghana National Education Campaign Coalition (GNECC) joined UNESCO in commemorating the International Day of Education, themed "AI and Education: Preserving Human Agency in a World of Automation." Our participation went beyond mere observation, as we actively engaged in practical demonstrations of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) potential.

Our team joined TVET students in hands-on community service projects, including school painting, tree planting, and infrastructure improvement activities. These initiatives not only provided practical learning experiences but also addressed critical infrastructure challenges in less-privileged schools.

Throughout the event, GNECC advocated for the normalization of such practical educational aches, emphasizing how TVET can simultaneously solve social issues, provide valuable skills to students, and contribute to addressing unemployment challenges.

By participating in this year's International Day of Education, GNECC reaffirmed its commitment to innovative, practical, and transformative educational strategies that empower students and communities.
